Avid D-Show, Profile, SC48, & Mix Rack running VENUE V3–V3.1.1

Use the Waves V9 VENUE installer to install all VENUE V3-compatible plugins.

Only the plugins you have activated to your USB Flash Drive will be available on your console.

Last tested version of VENUE Console Software: V3.1.1.

You will need a USB Flash Drive in FAT32 format and 2GB free space.

Download Waves V9 for Venue Install File Mac | PC.
Extract it to your USB Flash Drive root folder.

MAC: Run the Waves_V9_for_Venue2.dmg.
A window will open, showing a folder named TDM Plug-ins.
Drag and Drop this folder to your USB Flash Drive root folder.

Windows: Run the Waves_V9_for_Venue2.exe.
An Extractor window will open. Navigate and Extract to your USB Flash Drive root folder.
Plug the USB Flash Drive into a USB port on your Venue console.
USB2 port on the FOH rack is recommended.
Go to the OPTIONS page (Make sure that you are in CONFIG MODE) > PLUG-INS Tab.
On the left side of the screen (Plug-Ins to Install), click on the "Console" and change it to your USB Flash Drive.
Select the version of Waves that you wish to install.
Click the "Install" button in the middle.
Let the installation run through and finish.

If you want to check which licenses you have on this system follow these instructions:

Exit to Windows – Go to Go to the OPTIONS page (Make sure that you are in CONFIG MODE) > System, hold the CTRL button and click on Shut Down.
It will open a prompt window “Exit to Desktop”. Click on Yes.
Go to C:\Program Files\Waves and open "Create License List.bat"
This program will create a new file called Licenses.txt at the same location.
Run Licenses.txt to see the list of available licenses.

The Waves V8 Venue D-Show installer will install ALL Venue-compatible plugins.
Only the plugins you have authorized to your iLok key will be available on your console.
This installer includes a hot fix for C6 Multiband Compressor resolving headroom fluctuation issues.

There are 2 ways to install Waves V8 Venue D-Show plugins. Please choose one of the following:

1. Install Using Disk-On-Key

Download Waves V8 for Venue Install zip Mac | PC.
Extract it to your disk-on-key root folder.
Plug the disk-on-key into a USB port on your D-Show console. USB2 port on the FOH rack is recommended.
Go to Options > Plugins, click the Console drop-down menu, and select the disk-on-key.
Select Waves V8 on the left column, and click Install.

Waves V8 is now installed.

2. Install Using Disk Image

Download Waves V8 for Venue Install Image.
Unzip the file.
Burn the iso file to a CD.
Insert the CD into your D-Show console.
Go to Options > Plugins, click the Console drop-down menu, and select the disk image.
Select Waves V8 on the left column, and click Install.

Waves V8 is now installed.

Known Issues

The D-Show preset system is recommended for saving user presets, making them available in the saved D-Show session folder, for easy back-up and transport. The Waves preset system requires each preset to be manually saved to a specified location.
Waves V8 is backward-compatible with sessions and presets saved with Waves V6 and V7 for the Venue plugin line, and Waves Live bundle V5.
The D-Show plugin menu will display all installed Waves plugins; only iLok-authorized plugins will be available for use.
Black squares appear in plugin GUI when connected to VENUE with VNC.

The Waves V7 Venue D-Show installer will install ALL Venue-compatible plugins.
Only the plugins you have authorized to your iLok key will be available on your console.

There are 2 ways to install Waves V7 Venue D-Show plugins. Please choose one of the following:

Known Issues

The Pace update installation may require a console restart.
Restarting the console after the first Waves V6 install is recommended.
The D-Show preset system is recommended for saving user presets.
This makes them available in the saved D-Show session folder, for easy back-up and transport. The Waves preset system requires each preset to be manually saved to a specified location.
Waves V6 is backward-compatible with sessions and presets saved with Waves Live V5.
The D-Show Plug-in menu will always display all Waves V6 plug-ins. Only iLok-authorized plug-ins will be available for use.
Due to a slight increase in plug-in loading time, longer session loading times may result, depending on the number and type of plug-ins used in the session.
